SPORTING GREATS HANGING IN CANARY WHARF
A unique set of illustrations showing famous sports stars checking
their particulars has gone on display at First Edition wine bar and
restaurant in Canary Wharf.
The limited edition prints, which include the likes of Martin Johnson
and David Beckham, have been produced by London-based illustrator
James Husbands. The framed artwork will raise money for the John Hartson Foundation,and promote awareness of testicular cancer.
The exhibition also includes over 30 portraits of football stars,
cricket legends, golfing icons, Wimbledon tennis greats and more.
Central to the display are illustrations of the great Seve
Ballesteros, Sir Ian Botham and a stunning gold-framed Joe Calzaghe.
First Edition wine bar and restaurant has been showcasing the work of
highly-regarded artists for a number of years.
James specialises in his very own brand of sports illustrations, and
his work is published in national newspapers and magazines.
He has also illustrated for hundreds of film, television and
commercial projects, including Academy Award and Bafta winners.
